I'm Moving!!!

Well, on the internet at least.

I'm changing sites. Here is the new address for

Bohemian Oatmeal

That's where I'll be posting from now on. It's underconstruction...you've been warned.

Allergies, Moi?!

Noooo! I refuse to admit I'm developing allergies. My sister and brother both suffer from horrible allergies (environmental) and I've always boasted phlem free nasal passages. Last year I thought it was a cold. This year...it's a little worse. Itchy throat, drainage, ick! However, I refuse to medicate. I don't want to be dependent on a pill. So that means constant bitching...much better don't you think?

On another note, I have finally influenced another friend to start blogging. Check out Shmooblog. She is a fellow knitter and all around crafty gal. I expect great things. I always loved shmoo when I was a kid(dating myself). Cartoons were my life.

Well, not sure if I told you I finished the apron. It's been a few weeks but here is a photo.

I've used it and it's nice to have around the kitchen. I recommend it for those who get so into their cooking, they can get a little messy.

Also, Sabine is missing. If you find her, please tell her to come home.

Feel free to hang posters.

How to Have a Happy Birthday

Yesterday was a great day. It was a little too busy but all in all, it was great.

The kids made me a card with flowers on it. It was very pretty. Chloe had to go to the dentist. She gets to start on her braces in June and they didn't have to do an adjustment on her upper appliance.

I had lunch with my grandmother, aunt, cousin, and Chloe. Very yummy, and the company was nice too!

A nap was had in the afternoon...aaahhhhh. I took Chloe to climbing team practice. She did a REALLY hard route and completed it (another gift to me she says).

We had pizza for dinner and crepes for dessert (yumm, crepes!) Strawberry with whip cream, cinnamon, and a little nutella for a chocolate fix. On a side note, I inherited our family crepe iron. Now I can make the thinnest yummiest crepes and I have an extra pan to store.(hee hee)

I also stayed up a little late and finished my birthday bucket. (a hat) I think this style of hat just looks like crap on me. I have to block it still but eewwe, not flattering. Fortunately, it looks great on Troy. Henry wants an alien bucket hat, Chloe maybe red. Fluffa is doing another Bucket-a-long. This time the pattern is the Bottom Up Bucket from Ms. Bonnie Marie. I just got the pattern last night so HBomb gets a hat before the weekend. Yippie!

There is also the coolest knitting cooperative happening over at the Audrey Knit a-long. Oh how I would love to knit the Audrey. It is so cute! I'm still going to read those doing it's posts though, just in case my credit card buys the yarn without me knowing.

I'll try and post a picture of the birthday bucket soon.

BTW notice the buttons on the left that say "fluffa" and "Frog Pond" and "Super Eggplant" if you click on them, they take you to the blog they are for. Here is the button I'm trying to tweak for Bohemian Oatmeal.

It's not ready yet so don't grab it.

April Fools!

Captain Destructo inspired Chloe and HBomb to make April Fish (Poisson D'Avril)* for April Fools day. Even Lily got into the act. Here is CD with his fish.
And here are HBomb, Chloe, and Lily (she was not harmed, it was put on her collar)

Merci beaucoup, Captain Destructo!

* The april fish tradition apears to have begun in 1564. That is the year that Charles IX moved the first day of the year from April 1st to Jan. 1st. There were alot of people who weren't happy with this, they were called the conservatives. They received fish on their backs as a joke from the "non-conservatives" and the tradition has continued.
