Gettin' Off the Junk

So, today was the first day without any caffeine or sugar. I even went to the store today and didn't buy any candy or soda. This is huge for me. Lately, I've been eating tons of peppermint patties and coke. I tried to quit a while ago but kept falling off the wagon.

In other news, we're getting ready to go on our second vacation of the year. Troy's grandfather has a cabin on Anderson Island in Puget Sound and has offered it to us for the week. It will be nice to get out of town for a while. Just think, no appointments or schedules. Free time at it's finest. I don't even care if it rains the whole time...not that I hope it rains or anything.

We watched two really cool movies this weekend. Both really good. The first one was Young Adam. It stars Ewan MacGregor and is based on a famous Scottish book. It was really good and very sexy. I couldn't believe they even showed Ewan Mac G full frontal nude!!!! (see I'm still shocked, I can't even figure out how to change that last sentence to sound right) They never do that. He has definitely "risen" to higher status in my book.(I know, very bad)*

The second we watched was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. This movie also was REALLY good. I'm not a big Jim Carrey fan but this movie was amazing in concept and content and totally crossed out the fact that he was in it.

So, go watch movies, eat less sugar, and dream of Mac G with full frontal nudity.

*I will never think of custard in the same way again.

My Husband...The Employee of the Quarter

I am so pleased to be married to the current Employee of the Quarter. It makes me feel like royalty. Every time I call him at work, I make sure I let them know that, "This is the wife of the Employee of the Quarter calling....may I speak with the Employee of the Quarter please."(yes, I am always very polite...really)

The best part of his Employee of the Quarter status is the Employee of the Quarter sex. Much hotter, I must say.

To wrap this post up: If you want to feel like royalty, use superfluous titles, and have hot sex just designate your significant other as Employee of the Quarter*.

*So I wonder what would happen if you designated them Husband of the Quarter...would make a difference?
