OMG!!!!
Check out the story.
This is the house I practically grew up in.
It's freakin' me out.
HBomb needed new slippers again this year. This is three years in a row now. I decided to make them the size larger in hopes that he can wear them again next year. I still have tons of felting stash yarn and was pleased that he found the colors he liked. This is the first pair that I've made with a different color for the bottom. I like the idea of using a darker color on the bottom.(now he can dust floor for me...hee hee)
Hell is paved with good intentions...well at least christmas gifts are thats for sure. I had planned on spinning up enough wool to knit my husband socks for the holidays.
Exhibit #1:

This is the roving I had picked out from a local woman who raises sheep. It is really fun to spin but this is all I have done as of now.
Exhibit #2:

Notice the very fine spinning I'm doing here. This is taking forever. Not to mention that I keep getting this pain in my back after about an hour of spinning this fine. The yarn is supposed to be 3ply and this is the first bobbin of wool I'm finishing. Maybe next year honey.
This is the yarn (middle and left) and knit up scarf from the yarn shown for Chloe for christmas.
It's so Dr. Suess colors to me. It's always fun to combine yarns and colors to see what you get. I wish they would let you do it in the store.
I've also gotten a paid knitting gig. I'm knitting up a quick scarf like the one above for a friend of my aunt. $20 and they buy the yarn. This is only my second paid knitting project. The first one was a repair on store bought gloves for a vet. They were her favorite pair and she wasn't ready to part with them.
Knitting for $ is cool.
